Subscription questions

What is Jammul?+

Jammul is an app that teaches children English through spoken conversation with friendly cartoon characters, starting in Saudi Arabic and moving to English step by step. It is built for Saudi children who don't know English yet, remembers what each child has learned, and shows parents their progress.

What age is Jammul for?+

Jammul is for children aged 2 to 7, starting from zero. For ages 2 to 4 we recommend a parent sits with the child during the lesson, and we show “play together” tips on screen to make that easy.

My child knows no English at all — will Jammul work?+

Yes, Jammul is designed for children starting from absolute zero. At first the tutor speaks mostly Saudi Arabic and introduces a few English words, then increases the English automatically as the child moves through four levels.

Do you store my child’s voice?+

No, Jammul keeps no recording of your child’s voice. Audio is processed live during the lesson only, over an encrypted connection. We keep the text of the conversation so the tutor remembers your child’s progress, and you can delete all of your child’s data anytime from the parent dashboard.

How does Jammul teach English?+

Jammul teaches with the same four-step loop in every lesson: learn the word with a picture and clear audio, play a “listen and pick the picture” game, have a real conversation with the character using the lesson’s words, then review those words at the right moment before the child forgets them.

How many minutes a day does my child need?+

Ten to fifteen minutes a day is enough, because lessons are short and built for young attention spans. Your plan sets the maximum daily conversation minutes per child, so your child never spends longer on screen than needed.

Does my child need to be able to read?+

No, your child doesn’t need to read or write to use Jammul. Everything happens through voice and pictures: the child listens, talks and taps pictures, and signs in with a secret picture-PIN instead of a password.

How is Jammul different from other English apps for kids?+

Jammul holds a real spoken conversation with your child instead of only drilling vocabulary. The tutor understands Saudi dialect and Arabic–English mixing, remembers the words your child has learned and the mistakes they make, and adjusts how much English it uses to their level.

Who are Jammul’s friends?+

Jammul’s friends are the characters a child chooses to talk with: Jammul the camel, Basbous & Fattoum, Fuffu and Battoota. Each has its own voice and personality, and all follow the same safety rules and curriculum, so a child can switch friends whenever they like.

Are there ads in Jammul?+

No, Jammul shows no ads to children or parents, and never will. We are funded only by paid subscriptions, so we don’t sell your child’s data or use it for advertising.

Is the content culturally appropriate for Saudi children?+

Yes, the content is designed for Saudi children and respects family values. The tutor is not allowed to discuss religion, politics or anything frightening or unsuitable, and gently steers the child back to the lesson if they wander off topic.

What happens if my child says they are scared or upset?+

If a child says they are scared or upset, the tutor reassures them and asks them to go to their mum or dad right away. After every lesson an automated review looks for anything worrying, and if a lesson is flagged, an authorised member of our team reads its transcript only to check it.

What data do you need about my child?+

We need only your child’s first name and age. We don’t ask for photos, location or a phone number for the child. The parent owns the account, parental consent is required before a child uses Jammul, and under Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law you can access, correct or delete the data.

Which devices does Jammul work on?+

Jammul works in any modern browser on a phone, iPad or computer, with no app to install. The device needs a microphone and an internet connection, because the voice conversation happens live during the lesson.

Can I add more than one child?+

Yes, plans allow more than one child depending on the plan, and each child gets their own profile, picture and secret PIN. The tutor tracks each child’s progress separately, so a younger sibling starts at their own level.

How do I follow my child’s progress?+

You follow your child’s progress from the parent dashboard, which shows the words they have learned, their game results and a short summary of each lesson. The parent area is protected by a question young children can’t answer, so they can’t change settings themselves.

How much does Jammul cost, and is there a free trial?+

Every plan starts with a free trial, then you choose monthly or yearly billing in Saudi riyals, where yearly saves the cost of two months. Plans differ in the number of children and daily conversation minutes, and current prices are on the pricing page.

How do I cancel?+

You cancel with one tap from the parent dashboard at any time, without having to contact us. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and nothing is charged after that.
